I don't know if any of you pay much attention to the musical scores in movies or not, but if any of you do then you should really just listen to or download some music from Thomas Newman...it is really good. I was surprised to learn how many movies he's actually done the score for; I thought that "American Beauty" was the first one, but there are a whole crapload. Here is a list:
Reckless Desperately Seeking Susan Girls Just Want to have Fun Jumpin' Jack Flash The Lost Boys The Great Outdoors Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe Scent of a Woman The Player The Shawshank Redemption Little Women Unstrung Heroes Up Close and Personal The People vs. Larry Flynt Phenomenon The Horse Whisperer The Green Mile Meet Joe Black American Beauty Erin Brockovich The Road to Perdition Finding Nemo
Anyone familiar with Newman's work, or know of any other good music for movies? (Danny Elfman is another.)
