I'll have to reserve judgement until i see no.3, but the first was much better than the second. It works as a stand-alone movie, whereas Reloaded seemed like a stopgap, with the story stretched so thin virtually to breaking point. Cool action scenes though, but little substance.

Parallels between The Matrix trilogy & the Godfather trilogy:
1) First movie was brilliant. 2) Second movie was so-so. 3) Final movie was a travesty to humanity. 4) Godfather has wise, barely comprehensible old man to whom many go for advice. Matrix has wise, barely comprehensible old woman to whom many go for advice.
