I don't know, they just seem to hit the spot lately. I guess they'd be ska, but they have an incredibly good cover of Rolling Stones's shattered. I might even buy an album. You know, you can't listen to the same kind of thing all the time...

I went to see fishbone in 95 and the singer never seemed to shut the fuck up with the preaching....thought control, dont watch tv.....it wouldnt quit.........but man could that singer body surf......

Are they still together? I've seen them about five times and every one has been great. They are a super live band.

Fishbone rocks IMO. Too eclectic to ever make it big commercially though.

Fishbone played here three times last year. One of the few bands I'd keep going to see that many times - they're one of the best live shows I've ever experienced, and one of my favourite bands in the world.

If you're looking to pick up a disc, I'd recommend Truth & Soul (it being my favourite and all), but there's also a compilation called Fishbone 101 that's basically a best of/rarities collection of their stuff up until the mid-'90s that might be a good place to start.
