Dave - is there some way you can make it so we don't have to use FTP to get the files? Like how Yahoo! does it where they have folders? That would make it alot easier than having to download some FTP client...

im pretty sure dave said he was gonna make a webpage front for the ftp site, if not ill do it then. ultimately that will be what you want though

Trey - nope. FTP has a long-standing tradition, and it's very useful and functional. One of those uses is to help prevent trolling 'leeches' who just go around downloading everything any anything.
This way you gotta 'put-out' a little. You gotta sign up to the Forum and you gotta download a little piece of software and learn how to use it. The latter you'll definately find useful in the future, it's not like this is the only FTP site on the internet. It's also a lot easier queing up and downloading 16 songs in a show than saving each one from a webpage.
I don't like 'free and easy', tho to be honest, FTP is hardly a step removed from that.
The webpage would just list what's on the FTP site, so you can check regularly and see if there's anything new. It wouldn't give you access to it tho. I'm pretty sure FB would prefer it this way as well.
I'm usually pretty flexible, but this is one place i'm gonna stick to my guns (after all, you are my son..) Perhaps we'll have a 'song of the month', which will be accessable from the website, but there's no way we're gonna make hundreds of megs and dozens of shows available via HTTP.

good call dave. we really need to get people who can bootleg shows since frank d oesnt mind and i know everyone would love to have a bootleg as a keepsake of the frank concert they went to. we can get all the philly people to record it mono from different angles and then we can mix it together hah. but it would be cool to put stuff like that on the ftp
