When do we filthy Americans get to experience this fuggin' awesome setlist and witness the advent of Velouria with the Catholics as well as the return of Freedom Rock?

Just speculation, but I suspect it won't be until next spring. FB is back in December and scheduled to hit Oz in Feb, plus he needs some time to record his upcoming album (which sources tell me will feature yellow prominently) probably in Dec/Jan. Assuming they finish by the time they leave for Australia, that leaves them to tour and promote the next album starting probably by April. But, as I said, none of this is official, only speculation.

you think he has enough songs written already to record a new album in Jan.? I just don't want him to get burned out. He has been in Europe for a LONG time relatively speaking. I will see him tomorrow night in Heidelberg and will post a review afterwards.

| I would think they would be touring stateside to promote SMYT at some point - in April? Even if a new CD is done in January or February it won't be ready to release for some time. I don't know what my point is other than by your time line, COF - they never will have toured with SMYT here and that just seems sad and wrong. Anyway... |

yeah, I'm with ramona, maybe he will record another album
Maybe he will need some time off (Dec and Jan, I won't call that much time off)
to settle down with his new girl in portland.
as long as we're speculating:
Dec/Jan would be a great time to start thinking of babies
For Frank maybe not so hard to deliver as a record

yes, yes... u.s. dates! forget about another album for a while... sheesh, he just put one out fer cryin' out loud... what's the rush?
anyways, please at least some west coast winter dates before oz? phoenix? come on frank, you know you love arizona... give us another catholics show before all this pixies reunion stuff goes supernova

dr bone, that's a good question..
it used to be, bein in LA, you didn't really ever have to wonder when he'd play again.. even between tours, he always does the occasional one-off at McCabes or The Mint. now that he's in Portland, will we really only get one or two shows a year?
