So, I've resurrected mun chien andalusia's thread and created cult nr. 7 (I had no choice, Ming made me do it)
But, how do I get rid of the chuffin' white space around the icon. Is it a simple exercise in Microsoft Paint or do I need to use another paint programme??

I'm a bit of a web retard: if I copy the picture into the paint and scribble on it, how do I get it back to be my picture? I'm a lazy man, so someone post some code or something... Please?

You need the picture to be hosted on your own webspace or via someone else's. From reading other threads I think mun chien andalusia has been hosting some images for other FB.net members. Is this right MCA?
I'm also a web dimwit. It's taken me ages to understand FTP and to get my webspace sorted out. My ming icon is my first uploaded peice of data ever. If web surfers happen across my 'website' they will be very confused as the ming icon is the only thing on it. NASA, fear me.

bedrock i don't think that the white space can be eliminated.
cheeseman if you want to change the image then you have to put it on a web page and then link it like you do when you attach images into posts.if you can't host it on a site send it to me and i'll host it for you.

The white space can be eliminated by saving it as a GIF and setting your background colour to transparent. JPGs do not have this feature.

Well, in that case you will need to start with The Southern Death Cult. Their (one and only) album is actually pretty good. A bit raw but quite distinctive. Anyone got this one?

Its funny I got into the cult with She Sells Sanctuary and then bought Sonic Temple.
I like(d) Sonic Temple a lot, but, it was only a couple of months later that I discovered Doolittle and the Pixies and I never really got back into the Cult. |

Did any of the UK members here witness the Cult's return at Reading 2001? Astbury was so pissed off 'cause no-one liked his new stuff, he spilled water over some sound technician's gear, who cut his mic. in retaliation, so Astbury kicked the speakers off the stage.
