i was at the beach today.. i have to say, the smoke made the sky and the water look pretty cool.. kind of this odd glow..
but yeah, these fires are not good.

Geez Louise! That's terrible. Time to don the gas masks.

i am doing okay.....luckily my friends houses aren't directly effected. the air is terrible. i feel bad for all that have lost homes or personal belongings.....
the ashes are everywhere falling from the sky...i live right near downtown and the wind has been bringing the smoke right to us.
my kitties don't like having the windows shut all day..... |

| I heard earlier today that 13 have died because of the fires. And no percentage of control as of early afternoon - I hope those Santa Anna winds die down soon, and that you get a good healthy rain. Good luck to all you SoCal folk! |

Except that California has been experiencing crazy natural disasters long before Arnold. The next step is that after all of the fires there will probably be some nice big mud slides if the rains come this winter. |

In sympathy for Southern California's plight, I've also skipped any form of exercise (except for the morning bike commute).
You right home insurance was already too hard to get in California. 2000 homes burning isn't going to make it any easier. |

| Yeah - how incredibly stupid! That was only one of the fires though - apparently, another of the 6? fires was started by arsonists - the FBI is looking for two guys in a grey van that threw something ablaze into the woods from the highway. Man, I hope they find them. |
