Not that I want to create a polemic and I hope I am totally wrong but I have the impression the relation between Frank and Rich Gilbert is not as good as it could be...In Lille for example Frank asked Rich to reduce his keyboard level and Rich really seem to disapprove...they did not really look at each other all the concert...and I even had the impression that Rich did not try to give his best on some songs...maybe because of it? And from what I read from the concerts in England it seemed to be quite tight sometimes on stage...Did any of you feel the same or am I totally wrong?

At both shows i saw they seem to have a few laughs, but maybe you saw them on a bad night?

I think Rich is a great showman in his own right - maybe this rubs Frank up the wrong way sometimes? Still comes across as a team effort though - no punches flying or anything like that.

I think they seem to have a perfectly normal relationship - especially for two guys who are spending a hell of a lot of time together. Frank seemed to have nothing but love for him in the "Rich Gilbert is a Snob" (not SNOW - hee) thread. I think when you spend a ton of time together, it is only natural to occasionally get on each other's nerves. Especially when it is two ARTISTS with strong opinions about their art. Know what I mean? |

Funny that everyone knows Crazy Monkey now. Did you know that one of the guys from CM is a Frank Black fan? His name is Gavin Williams and he was a regular poster on the AbstractPlain mailing-list. I haven't heard of him since he moved to the UK though.
