Oops. I guess it's obvious I haven't listened to the Cure in years! I think I will be this weekend, though - maybe Faith....Haven't listened to the Cure in our "new" car yet! |

Has anyone seen the Cure Trilogy DVDs? Really cool they play through Pornography, Disintigration and Bloodflowers completely live plus there's interviews and some other extras. Really worth the $20 I paid for it.

As a teenager of the eighties, of course I like the Cure...they are a great band indeed. In fact, last month out here in California, the Cure headlined (above Duran Duran!) the Inland Invasion show. I was ecstatic to FINALLY see the cure in concert, and was amazed and happy to see an outpour of youngins' (they outnumbered us 30-somethings).
Needless to say it was the worst stage performance I have EVER seen...worse than some of Frank's opening bands (and we all know how bad those tend to be). I was shocked, appalled, and bitter about the Cure act. Wow...it was a real stinker.

yeah, the cure will never be a good stadium rock group.i saw them a few times live but it was nothing special.i guess their music is more adapted to small venues and not in 20-30000 people concerts.

The Cure in Orange was a rocker, though it was directed - the video is great. I think they're just a little old now for just about anything, and I kinda wish they would have stopped the third time they swore they were going to. Back when they were young I heard from those much luckier than me that their large concerts were incredible. |

i saw the cure at roskilde (40000-50000 audience) while i was heavily intoxicated with cheap red wine. It may have been the red wine, but i had a fantastic evening. I even had a wrestling fight (true male bonding...) with my best friend during the concert. Got my ass kicked by a woman with rubber (doctor) gloves after the concert. Not so fantastic, but a truly bizarre night after all. |

I first saw them at Glastonbury back in 1995, ad that was good gig. Then saw them in Cardiff International Arena a year later and it was a mediocre gig. I think musically they are great live, but the do just stand there which gives them not much of a stage presence.
