Could anyone tell me stuff about either of these places? i'm going to both these places for mid-term wife some school folks and i wonder if there's any good places to, ahem, 'hang-out'? you crazy kids.

If you're looking for stuff to do "with people," all I've heard about Finland is stick to the south. If you're with a group though, I've also heard that the north is some of the greatest wilderness ever, if you're into that kind of thing. Never met anyone that went to Estonia, though my buddy was born there and says he never wants to go back. Don't let it discourage you.

finland has a lot of lakes,it's cold and makes nokia cell phones.that's what i know about it.

| They like weird licorice/funky chemical infused liquor there. And also, their candy is kinda icky, they use some kind of strange flavoring that is not allowed by the FDA here, other than that, all I remember from my Finnish acquaintances that I met in England are the words for spinach - "pinate" (like pee-naaa-tay, spelling is probably awful) and cauliflower - "cocacauli"? - like ko- ko - caaaaw-lee). That, and that at least in the area they lived, the people were really nice, and loved saunas. So, that was useless, huh? Sorry! |
