Seeing as apparently the near full house at the Junction apparently didn't include anyone else with a computer, I'll delurk for a brief report.

Setlist:

Caribou
Cactus
Velouria
All My Ghosts
I Need Peace
Western Star
I Love Your Brain
I Want Rock 'n' Roll
Bullet
Hermaphroditos
Velvety
Whiskey In Your Shoes
The Black Rider
Black Letter Day
How You Went So Far
Nadine
New House Of The Pope
Horrible Day
Massif Centrale
The Snake
Manitoba
Fare Thee Well

I've never seen FB&TC live before so I can't make a comparison, but he seemed "focussed" rather than "grumpy" to me. He waved a few times to the crowd, and thanked everyone for coming out on a couple of occasions.

Bearing in mind some of the posts yesterday, at the end of the main set he came to the front of the stage and stood and smiled for a while at the audience; he looked a bit cheesy and strained, so maybe he was making a point ;-)

Feel suitably guilty at having whispered the standard "party on Garth!" line to my friend as Rich Gilbert walked by at the bar; the man is an utter star on-stage.

Very impressed.

I was there and I have a computer....I just got back from Cambridge a few hours ago. I was going to rack my brains and try to remember the setlist but you beat me too it (phew). I totally agree about Rich Gilbert, he is indeed a star. Playing behind his back, with his teeth, the crazy moonwalk/robot dance thing that he has going on....awesome. I don't really remember Cactus being played though...I initallly thought they did but then dismissed it but if you've got Cactus down as well I guess they must have.

I don't really think Frank seemed grumpy though....at one point he stood behind Rich with a big grin on his face waving his guitar around, taking the piss out of Rich's extravagant style I suppose.

It was a great show though...perhaps not quite as good as the only other time I saw them (2001, Leicester Charlotte) but they did play around 30 songs on that tour....nearly as good though. I must say the junction is a much bigger venue than the charlotte and I actually had a better view (few rows back on the left-ish). Probably a bit too close to the speaker stack in hindsight, my left ear is still ringing now!

Cactus was straight after Caribou.....

The setlist isn't in order though; I'm just a sad git with a semi-photographic memory who goes through the albums in his mind and goes "played that, played that, didn't play that......" ;-)

You're right about the sound though; it's a long time since I've been blocked after a show!

We spread by stealth.....

But unless you met me in a Dublin pub in 1998, it must be my evil twin.....
