When is this crappy wave of bullshit gonna end. I saw this video a few months ago, no idea what the group name was, but the girl was hanging on the wall outside a building and singing whilst a band played in one of the apartments....i'm sure many retards think mixing up musical styles in such blatant ways as that and rap-metal (linkin park, limp biscuit, etc) is revolutionary....but i beg to differ. This argument probably seems moot, but i am sooooo sick of fucking rap-metal, new-age-rap, or any other flaky ass mix. Oh well, I remember how annoyed i was at the female with a guitar (singer/songwriter) or female with a piano (singer/songwriter) wave that controlled the airwaves awhile back a la Jewel, Sarah Mclaughclin, Alanis, Fiona Apple, Natalie Imbruglia and the rest of that fucking bullshit.
What the fuck is with these waves of music that have been occurring over the last 30 or so years? Waves that would make you think that there are no other alternatives in music. 'These are the limits of our possibilities for the time being'.
Although these waves have little to no affect on most people on this messageboard, they do have an indirect effect on what we are all exposed to. There are many bands out there, right now, in garages that give up and get a job or go back to school that play so many interesting and original things that all of our ears are thirsty for but will never hear. All this because they dont seem to click with whatever the fuck is going on out there.
Meanwhile we will watch TV and Carson Daly will tell us how 'Original' Macy Gray or Alicia Keyes are. Way of the world i guess.....but it fucking sucks! |

A lot of people now days are just tired of having an opinion so they are very happy to just sit back and let the record comps and soft drink big wigs shovel garbage into their ears, and tell them what is good. I mean why think for yourself...its so stressful. Ignorance is bliss...knowledge is misery.

I agree with you man. Maybe there will be some kinda of "Good Music Revolution" in the next few years. It just has to happen. Can we revolt? The kids of this generation are accepting what they are given, and it needs to be stopped. Can we protest bad music? We need a solution.

Don't turn on your radio, don't turn on your MTV, don't buy the music, and advise all those you know, love, and/or hate to do the same.
