They have to be one of the worst bands in the world, i just can't get over how shit they're new album is.
I liked the Black album when i was about 11 years old but that Frantic (tic, tic, tock) song is so bad. Every time i hear that song i want to rip my ears off in protest. I'm sorry to rant but i really have to get this off my chest.
I just don't know how people can like such a shit band. I know there are pleanty of other really bad bands out there eg Linkin Park, Feeder, Creed etc but i think its mainly stupid teenagers who buy it but Metalica's fans should be old enough to have delevoped some taste.
Are there any fans on the forum? reveal yourselves now!

gimme a break. i'm not a big fan, but "one of the worst bands in the world" ? shouldn't that be saved for all the other bands who truly deserve that title?
i think And Justice For All is a very listenable album.. never owend it, but someone i used to drive to school with in high school had it, and we fucking rocked out to that..
blackend in the end..
indeed. |

Older Metallica was alright...I mean, they definitely have the metal-meathead kind of thing going on, but one of the worst bands ever? I think not!
give me ten Metallicas over ONE shitty-ass, whining rap-metal crock of donkey shit like Linkin Fart.

You know, I still like Metallica. Their new one isn't much to listen to, though. I'd say their first six albums are pretty solid (the first two are great, IMO). The whole Napster thing was a blow to their integrity that they're still reeling from. I'd go see them live again, but I wouldn't travel too far to do so. I was 13 when I first saw them in a ballroom in '84. That was a jaw-dropping experience. You didn't see or hear much shit like that in Kansas back then. Oh yeah, they opened for WASP. Anyone remember those guys? Now they might be one of the worst ever. |

One of my guitar player's old bands called itself Metallica just because they thought it was funny. They wound up getting sued by the famous guys, but the band split up and I think the suit got dropped.
