If vegetables in general got you fucked up, I'm sure that we'd have to buy them from illegal sources called 'veggie dealers.'

The government would raze millions of acres of illegal carrot, onion and cucumber crops every year, and would only distribute the veggies, in a much weaker form, to those with chronic pain like terminal cancer patients.
Kids would be warned to DON'T eat broccoli or carrots, as they will lead to addiction, homelessness, and/or crime. But they will try them anyway, as kids do, and will be regular carrot eaters by the time they are the average age of 15.
As a safe alternative to vegetable-taking, kids would be encouraged to get involved in other harmless vices like crack-smoking and LSD.
Hoo boy. Scary.
