Leeds was great. Pretty much as per Edinburgh same songs different order. Crowd were a bit quiet but got very lively when they played Caribou, Velouria and Cactus in the middle of the set. Me and my mate had a good old pogo at this point! Massif Centrale followed these and also got a good reaction - I think this song, one of my favourites on SMYT sounds great live.
First time at the Cockpit as Newcastle is more my stomping ground and have to say it's a very nice little venue.
Sadly I think I was the only person there wearing my newly acquired FB&TCs t-shirt.
Can anyone add a set-list to this as I'm hopeless - also had a few beers which didn't help! Cheers John
PS If anyone still wants ASTORIA TICKETS I have 4 left. Please take them off me rather than paying some chancer whose bought a job lot and is trying to knock them out on eBay for a profit!

Yep, that's the (now very sweaty) shirt. Very smart!
Anyway, should have mentioned that I got to speak to the man himself last night after the gig. Well, not speak to him exactly, more like I shouted at him!
We'd got lost south of Leeds and ended up driving past the venue. There was Mr Black stood by the tour bus. I wound down the window and shouted 'Charles, f***ing great show!' and gave a thumbs up (am I sad or what?). He gave me a wry smile and a wave.
We laughed all the way back to Newcastle (or at least to Wetherby)! I guess you had to have been there!

its a pity Frank couldnt get to Newcastle for this tour...would have been great !

Gary, you are indeed correct! I couldn't find the t-shirt description or even the discussion thread and assumed it was as you describe so eloquently.
Apologies to Mr Goodman!

Richie Gilbert has become quite a showman, well at least at Leeds he was. Has he been the same throughout the tour? |

Yeah, he has been very entertaining! He was exactly the same at Edinburgh. Gets stuck in with his teeth at least once every show!
He's the entertainer and Dave Philips is Mr Cool. Noticed that he invariably gets his cigarette ready for hanging out corner of the mouth when it's coming up to his solos.
