I heard that Vicar Street were still promoting the gig on Today FM Petsounds last Thursday - maybe worth a try contacting them direct?

Hang about outside until the show is about to start, if the touts have spare tickets then they should give you a discounted price (saying that at the Flaming Lips gig in Bristol earlier this year they were selling tickets outside for 60 - 70 quid, even right up to when the show was about to start). I agree though, Touts are generally wankers. Another thing I have done before is hang about outside the venue and ask people going in if they have any spare tickets they are willing to part with, it has worked a couple of times. Good luck mate.

y'know a mate of mine did that at spiritualized also in vicar st, she was kind of wandering around outside and this guy asked her you want a ticket? she said yeah! and he gave it to her...au gratis, for nothing, nada, free, and walked away...some people have all the luck. Turned out it was a complimentary ticket, how nice are some people... |

Yeah, that happened to us a few years back. It was the night before I left England to come to China for the first time, and my mate had bought me a ticket to see Black Rebel Motorcycle Club at the London Astoria. We had a few mates with us who didn't have a ticket so we went looking for touts. As a tout was about to hand over a ticket for an unreasonable price this girl came over to us and gave us free tickets (she was from the record company I think). Man the tout was well pissed, but it was an unbelieveable moment.
