Unlike my usual routine, I'm not being sarcastic, even though I am the king of it (I have a certificate from senior class 2001 to prove it). I really don't like Snitz 2000 much...I really dig phpBB and vbulletin.

I just registered at their forum.
It seems good enough, though I do have a few qualms, and note that these are just my nit-picking opinion
- There's a bit too much silly posting. Too many random topics about nothing/very trivial things that just degenerate into conversations between the same few people. How about just using a chat room instead?Posting rubbish just for the sake of posting is a bit lame, and only makes a forum extremely annoying to navigate.
Sprial~Daisy, I know it must be exciting for you with your new forum, and I say this with no offence at all intended, but making a million topics about things like going to the store to get a slushie, going shopping again, how sonic is scared of you, saying you love everyone, telling reece he has a sexy avatar, packing lunch for school, someone at your school getting bit, announcing that you are female, telling us that your mum got a cat etc is quite annoying. Why not just keep it all in a thread titled "my life" or something? Personally, to me it's spam, it's annoying and it deters me from reading any of your posts in that forum (general chat). If there was less there I'd be more inclined to read them and take an interest in them. As it is, I'm not going to wade through a swamp of random musings and banter between the same people that would be better suited to MSN chat conversations. Of course, you're not the only person doing this, and in the end it's your forum and you can do what you want. I'm just trying to give some advice based on my personal opinion.
- I think there are too many forums. Having specific forums for things like Pixies Album artwork, David Lovering, and The Martinis (who have released what, one song years ago? Are they still even together?) is a bit much. These subjects, and a few of the others that have dedicated forums, are the kind of things that can be talked about in different sections of the forum when need be, they don't seem big enough to have their own individual forums and just take up room on the front page, detracting attention from the more important forums.
- Having pictures, especially big ones in signatures is VERY annoying. I'd recommend disabling images in signatures. I don't know how other people find it, but to me it's very annoying. People have images as avatars, isn't that enough? Also, the maximum avatar size it 150 x 150 pixels. I find this is too much, allows them to be too big, thus annoying. I'm a big advocate of maximum 100 x 100 pixel avatars.
- On the topic of avatars, there didn't seem to be the option to upload/remote link any when I tried to via my personal profile. Other users' avatars were available to view and select though. Weird.
These are my main gripes with the site.
I like the design and the site has plenty of potential, so I wish you the best of luck! I'm going to post there for a while and see how it works out.

It's quite simple actually. If you have that many problems with the board, simply don't post there. This is how we are. We like things to be lively. Boards that just for informational purposes are quite cold and boring in my opinion. |

Yes you are right. Our board seems like its the same people talking to each other always. Its because most of our members came from Smashing Pumpkins MBs and we know each other from those boards so thats why it always looks like the same people talking.
About Spiral's topics, well the board is still new thats why we cant think of any topics to start. Spiral likes to make those kind of topics coz she wants to put a little fun on the board. Besides, her topics are in the general section which is a forum where you can talk anything that you want.
About your suggestions that there are a lot of forums in our board. I'm also gonna make that suggestion to the admins also.
Anyway, i would like to thank you for saying those suggestions. And rest assured that we will do our best to make our board better. Thank You!!! :-) |

Hahaha I guess none of you have been to the zwan board...NOW if you wanna see spam go there. Believe me its not as bad.
And I was just trying to fill up space fast.

Oh board wars....
Its pretty bad when you have a mod at an official bands board hacking the shit out of someone elses unofficial board, stickying topics about how there is porn and pedophiles at the unofficial board on the official board.
Drama sucks. We just wanted to escape it.
Even though I think that Bod at the zwan board was hillarious. |

I got rid of the pixies art forum. Noone was posting there.
The pics in the sigs, is something that everyone loves to have. And until we get more people complaining about it then the pics will have to stay. |

They would go on banning sprees and everything.

Bod is like Tony. Like they want us members to feel like we are so lucky coz we are registered in their boards. I think that should never be the case coz admins should at least show some gratitude to members for joining their boards. |
