Since leaving the Pixies a decade ago, Black has kept up his knack for penning memorable tunes even as he's grown mellower. His sixth Catholics record is full of rootsy indie fare and a slew of excellently bittersweet country rockers.
Yeah, I love how the reviews on that page take up 1/10th of the page and an ad for Intel takes up the other 9/10ths. It's rather disorienting to see Johnny Cash on the cover after being barraged with Britney and the Olsen Twins.
