I've often wondered if this guy ever copies and pastes from my tabs.
The answer? yes he does.
Look at "I Switched You" on his and my page. It's slightly different (only because i think i changed my tab to make it more correct), but his mistake?
For one of the rhythm parts i wrote above it: "2nd thing he does." And what a coincidence! Webrock just happened to write "2nd thing he does" above that same exact part! It's a carbon copy fellas.
Webrock also did a good job with copying and pasting my take on the "So Hard to Make Things Out" intro. And he even changed the hammer on to a slide! Very clever, changing little subtleties.
I didn't bother looking for other similarities. You all can feel free to have some fun though.

I've been using Dereks tabs for a while, and I'll take his word for it that this new site has copied some of his material. That's too bad. I've really appreciated all of the work that Derek has put into his tabs, and I'd hate to seem him sour on the idea of posting more due to shittieness.
Even with the possibility of very unethical deeds, I am still happy to see some of the tabs for the two new albums. |

I'm not gonna stop posting tabs. It doesn't bother me too much that this dude blatantly cops off my tabs. I know he doesn't cop off all my tabs, just some of the stuff.
I know I can't have a "©2003 Derek's Tabs" copyright on these tabs; I guess it's just a matter of respect and honesty that people don't take credit for other people's tabs.
Anyway, the fact that my tabs are on a cool sounding "frankblack.net" website makes them seem more legit and primary source-like.

| Seems like the tabmaster at webrock.free.fr goes for quantity over quality. Most of the tabs look pretty hastily thrown together. |

He does have some licks and chords he seems to have tabbed by himself. So, I think he is capable or figuring out stuff, unless he steals stuff from another site that we aren't aware of.
Anyway, man, I need to finish tabbing BLD... the summer should give me for free time.

I steal everything from derek's site and guitar universe site too

and so I ain't got time to do everything
so I "rework" stolen tabs :
correct what I consider as mistakes
keep good ideas
my only goal is proposing more right tabs to guitar players
'cause I didn't find enough tabs when I began to play guitar
the way I write my tabs (guitar I, II, bass, lyrics)
is destined to bands who wanna cover fb songs
the rhythm guitar player can print his own part, and so on
and if you don't wanna go to my site

the site is good. but the bass tabs are very general. im lazy and dont want to figure this out, and i dont think i really have the ear for it. but you do have at least a start. thanks for anything toward the FB tabbing cause.

well, there are no bass tabs on this site, so that's why they are very general. Besides, 80% of the time the bass follows the root note. Sure there are riffs and sometimes the bass plays a different note than the root note of the chord, but... oh well. I have a bass but really don't have time to tab bass tabs. Since I'd have to catch up on about 125 songs. Maybe someday i will make bass tabs for the favorite songs of people

I've been using Derek's tabs for the past five years or so. Heck, I remember discussing the "Man of Steel" tab (which he hadn't heard of at the time) via e-mail.
I don't plan on using any other tabs any time soon.
