Limited edition? This is news to me, but I bet it's got some bonus tracks for the European crew.

actually, the reason for japanese records having extra tracks is because in japan, its hip to own american records, so kids will import the latest "Band X" record from America and own that, which takes away from domestic record sales of "Band X." So, the labels request some bonus material from the artist to entice Japanese fans to buy the Japanese version instead of the US version.

Don't Japanese CDs also cost more to buy? Or the artists gets more money off the sale? Something like that?

So is there a version of SMYT with extra stuff on it? Where can I buy it that doesn't involve going to Tokyo?

I think the original poster was wondering about the limited edition release of the Everything is New single...as far as I know, there's no limited edition SMYT.

I heard that only 600 copies of Everything Is New were pressed - does this mean a copy will be incredibly difficult to get hold of? Do I need to be in the masons? How's it going to get to #1 in the hit parade if there's only 600 copies?

In France it's a rule that the singles have different bonus tracks, interesting to know if the album got that kind of treatment over there.Any of the French forum members care to shed some light on this? |
