Hey all. I'm going to start broadcasting a radio show at college soon, and obviously I want to fill it with Frank Black songs... but I'm just wondering which I should pick. I could just play singles to sucker in the people, or should I focus on the newer stuff to try and promote it?
I can just see myself sitting in the booth when the red light comes on and saying my first words on air "fuck, I don't know what to play!"...

Perhaps you could start off with one of the catchy tunes, like "If it Takes All Night" or something to that effect.

yeah, why not? I'm also hoping to play a pixies then frank black tune and hope I can get the listeners to prefer the fb song!

I've got my audition in an hour... I'm thinking of starting with 'rock music' and then 'if it takes all night'.

Play every Frank song with a cuss word in it. That will draw in all the limp bizkit and puddle of mudd fans and all those other trashy bands fans.

Yeah guys it went pretty smoothly! They qualified me pretty quick and I should get a show 'on air' next week. No cussing! I got told that *many* times, like they can just tell I'm going to play that kind of music... :)
random tangent: they wanted to test me on the decks, and i hadn't brought any vinyl with me so I ended up playing a tori amos song about five times. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!

cool. we have a web stream so i'll tell y'all when I'm on air and you can listen. we also have a webcam and i plan to present my shows naked. just kidding. or am i? ;)
