anyone heard of this band?

i heard their record in a store and really dug it so i bought it. and i'm still digging it. kind of portishead/sparklehorse-esque..

anyone know more about them?

I agree floop, "Len Parrot" is a great album. It's almost hypnotic. All the songs sounded more or less the same on the first couple listens, but I liked it. I probably only stuck with it because I believe Baxter's father (RIP Ian) was a complete genius. The album grew on me like a fungus (fungus hedge, that is).

I read somewhere that the album came out around the time of his first public performance and that he was completely uncomfortable in the live setting. Kudos to the guy for sticking with it. His music sounds pretty damned unique to me.

i was pretty hung over this past saturday, and this was the perfect album for that. very soothing..

(another good hangover album: Yo La Tengo's "Summer Sun")
