This is to anyone. I've got a tape of the Pixies on 99x BootlegX in Atlanta. I want to put it on cd so i can listen to it in my car. Here are the questions I have:

Does anyone know how to move music from tape to CD using everyday stuff - I have a stereo with tape deck and a laptop w/ CD burner?

Does anyone know if the BootlegX played on the Atl radio station 99x in the mid 90's was a live recording from someplace else already on CD?

the line up is:
cicilian
gauge away
little eiffel
letter to memphis
house of brine
sad punk
wave of mutilation
monkey gone to heaven
bird dream of olympus mons
planet of sound
head on
U-mass

Please excuse any misspellings or mislabeled titles: i'm practically illiterate and very lazy.

If this is something that is not already widely spread around i would be more than happy to share it if someone can help me get it off tape. (PS - recording was a tape recording off the radio - not the greatest quality but still is cool cause it's the Pixies)

All you need is a walkman, a stereo extension cable (with the ends that you typically see on smaller headphones), a sound card with a line-in, and an audio recording program.

Just plug the walkman/stereo/whatever into the sound card's line-in port with the cable, open your favourite recording program (most sound cards come with one), and hit record in the software and play on the stereo. If you're not getting any sound, make sure that you've selected "Line In" as your recording source and that you've got it plugged into the right port.

Welcome aboard.
