Though i'm pretty sure that this is some kind of an urban legend i do have to ask:Before going on vacation there was this false alarm about a Pixies reunion,yet when i was in Greece i heard on Rock FM(an Athens radio station)that a Pixies appearance or collaboration or something was to appear in the new Iggy Pop album.I would probably not pay any attention on such an incredible statement but the speaker made it after playing "Everything is new" saying that it was the new single from the x Pixies singer and that a pixies song is included on the new Iggy cd and played a new Iggy song after so it seemed to me that he knew what was he talking about(though most probably he didn't).Anyone heard anything about this story or it was just the fantasy of a drunk Greek forced to work in August?

Have not heard anything about this...I would be surprised if Frank Black + more of the Pixies played on the album, as well all know FB praises Iggy Pop. It's a Stooges album though, isn't it? Who knows what's to come...we shall see!

not really a stooges album, but features the ashetons (and maybe mike watt) on 3-4 songs...
it also has peeches on it

Really? Ah well, I thought he said "their new album" was coming out this month on the VMA's. I had assumed he meant The Stooges.

True. I guess the speaker meant "Sum 41" and said "Pixies" instead. After all, they're quite similar, ain't they?

You are totally right...I didn't think of this...He was under ouzo effect and read Pixies for Peaches...Now it all makes sense.
