Show Me Your Tears

Ever since making the Catholics his back-up band, Frank Black has released albums that have been recorded onto two tracks, often in a single take. What they’ve lacked in crazy brilliance has been made up by solid writing and a vitality that is reminiscent of the sloppy professionalism of Neil Young and Crazy Horse. Show Me Your Tears is lyrically darker with more southern rock overtones than we have come to expect. It’s a worthy addition to the Black canon.
