According to the french link/article below (dealing principally with the possible Pixies reformation), the Breeders will release a new album in October. I have found no confirmation anywhere. Has any of you heard of this release ?

Well I had heard of it a long time ago, as it's written in my "next releases to look for" list. I even noted a working title which was "V". Who knows where I got the news from, but I think it's true.

Thanks Denis. Some time ago I heard of a new (?) Breeders song titled "Fire in the Maid" - maybe the next single ?...
Anyway, the next albums on my NRTLF list are the "Nadine" Ep (UK version) and "Streetcore", by the late Joe Strummer. |

It seems your tastes are as eclectic as mine...
My whole list is quite long too, I just mentioned the first two ! (good rhyme isn't it ? I'll suggest it to Frank)

Wow, this came out of nowhere. Can't wait to hear it if it's true...Title TK was my favorite album of 2002.

After a long and painful investigation, I found this info at http://www.noaloha.com/breeders/index.php?page=9&show=all :
"March 31, 2003 - The Breeders, in addition to a number of other bands, will cover songs from the movie Hedwig and the Angry Inch for Wig in a Box, a charity compilation. The collection is expected to be released in October."
Since I've found no confirmation of a Breeders release in October, I suppose that Wig in a Box is actually the "new album" mentioned by Les Inrocks... |

Possibly... there is a thread on this somewhere as well, as Frank Black is also covering a song from there.
