I just got my ticket for the NY show. It says David Lovering on the ticket, I was just wondering if anyone knows if that means he'll be drumming for the Catholics or if a side band of his will be opening. Thanks.

maybe towards the end of his show he'll reach into his sleeve and pull out Frank.... then disappear with a bang! I'm sure he won't be playing drums as he's recently mentionned that he doesn't really want to be in a band anymore.

Dave does an act called "scientific phenominism". It's like a fun with science thing. He uses a bass drum but not like you would think.

So does he do a David Copperfield kind of show, or is it a 'pull a rabbt out of a hat thing' for kids? I find it a little strange that you go and see a band and the opening act is a magician. Has anyone sen hm perform yet? Is he able to turn Kim Deal into a reliable, anti toxic bass player?

Sorry.... I like Kim Deal and some of her post Pixies music.... just had to throw that one in though. But fairplay to David Lovering... thats cool him opening for Frank Black shows.
