Metacritic is great, but they always underrated Frank's records for some reasons. BLD & DW scored respectively 56 and 55 though they had some good reviews overall.

What did we say? Those suckers at Metacritic did add Q's review, AND underrated the album giving it a score of 62 (if you calculate the average note given by the 6 reviews they have, it makes 67 and not 62). And look how they summed up Blender's review... The article actually said "Important? No. Remarkable? Not really. But at least Black is neither in the shadow of nor looking to recapture his past glories." That makes a difference. I fucking hate them.

Did Q not give 2 stars out of five? If so, should that be 40 and not 30? I agree with your other points as well Denis.

"The METASCORE is considered a weighted average because we assign more significance, or weight, to some critics and publications than we do to others, based on the overall stature and quality of those critics and publications. In addition, in some circumstances, we also normalize the resulting scores (akin to "grading on a curve" in college), which prevents scores from clumping together. "
- looks like Q magazine has a lot of stature unfortunately. |

The average user rating for this album is
9.7 out of 10 (3 Votes). :D
and i'll see if i can complain about Q being 30 and not 40 :)
done. also, i think Q is quite respected so if they do add the extra 10, it should count for something in the metascore. |

The score is slowly increasing... It's now 67 thanks to the Uncut review.
