| Personally, I find Kim Deal quite sexy. Well, lemme rephrase that. I think she used to be quite sexy. She isn't looking as hot these days. And she did sometimes look a bit knackered back in the day, most of the time that great smile she had just made me go "Whoa". The sound of her voice just added to that. That sweet, sugary sound. "Into the White" has never been a favorite of mine, but I'll listen to it just to hear her vocals get hotter and hotter, like she's headed directly into the sun, which fits the content of the song. Anyway, I'm drooling on like a pervert here. Just wanted to state that I find/found her quite attractive. Seems that some people aren't all that taken by her, visually or musically. I think she excells in both categories. |

I never found Kim Deal attractive really...but I do remember telling my ex-girlfriend from years ago that she looked like Kim Deal, and she said that it wasn't much of a compliment, so I covered my ass by saying "a sexy Kim Deal." She did look like a sexy Kim Deal, though.

When i saw the breeders at reading last year i didnt even recognise her. And it was quite weird to see her setting up the guitars and amps, and then she strapped her guitar on and started, i was like What the fuck?!

| No, kim was hot 1990-1992 after she went to hell. I think Frank has aged better than Kim and Dave. Those 2 look ancient. Joey still looks the same, but Frank has aged well. ok, I am drooling over Frank like some pervert.....sorry! |

| I saw a Breeders cocnert in 2002 and I stood right next to Kim, and GOD, she is SO hot. she has sex appal just radiating from her... and this voice. She is not pretty in any ordinary sense, but she is one of the sexiest women I've ever met nonetheless. And the voice... WOW |

I can't believe it has come to this...but I think FB is a good looking guy. 50? No way. It's weird to think that he's not even 40 for some reason, maybe because he's been in the biz for so long, but he got in when he was still young.

I can't correlate two images in my head and believe they are both Frank Black. (Or Black Francis...) One is, the picture in Bossanova, where he looks somewhat young but sweaty. The other is the picture to Teenager of the Year, which surely is the heaviest he's ever been. Also, the video to "Here Comes Your Man" doesn't look a bit like any FB I know, which leads me to one shocking conclusion:

He looks kind of midget-like in that picture on the bottom, not to insult the man. (I don't guess that could be construed as anything BUT an insult...) I wonder how we all would feel if there was some group of people out there talking about our weight in such great detail as we are now. Personally I'd find it a little strange.

kim was sexy cuz she was pretty and she GOT it. black and kim looked SO FUCKING cool early-on, somehow unparalleled by anyone else since then. i mean, they looked like they could lead a revolt against the overground on a global-scale (oh right, they did).
i'm a shallow guy to put so much stock into their early phase, but come on, they were touched with something higher, non-human, they were alt-gods incarnate, alive, inspired, creative, on-the-edge, sharper than knives... sparked from a combination of naivete and nonchalance. you look at footage of those early shows and something about them looks out-of-place surreal (EVEN WITH THE SOUND TURNED OFF). they're just like 'what? we're here doing our thing' and they're right, while the vibe of the live film feels like the opening of saving private ryan with a house band playing for the nazis and allied forces. you know black wouldn't even be looking at the gore and carnage around him, he'd just have that staring out to sea look and ham-fisted stroke. |
