Since his last recording, Frank Black says he's been through therapy, and from the sound of his latest session with his Catholics compaņeros, that must've involved listening to piles of Lee Hazlewood recordings. That's not a bad thing; the dark-themed Show Me Your Tears benefits from the tasty twangin' and all the manly bellowing about witchy women and long-lingering heartache. It's still too early to count out Mr. Black.
