On the Virgin Radio website - it says that Frank has recorded a session for the Captain America show which will air on the 14th September. The link is http://www.virginradio.co.uk/djsshows/shows/captainamerica/ - it allows you to listen online:

Captain America makes the airwaves every Sunday night from 10.00pm.
This critically-acclaimed show plays American Rock & Roll, Americana and alt-Country. In any show you can hear artists like Bob Dylan, Ryan Adams, Mercury Rev, Lambchop, Neil Young, Lucinda Williams, The Handsome Family, and Joni Mitchell, plus live sessions from established and up & coming artists of the genre.

On the show on Sunday 14th September:
Cracking stuff over the next two weeks:

On Sun 14th, we'll have recently recorded sessions from FRANK BLaCK and from the raunchy Miss HEATHER MYLES.

Thanks, 10p. I thought I'd read somewhere he'd be on Virgin Radio but couldn't find anything on their site!

Oh well, I suppose a Johnny Cash tribute should take precedence.

Yeah, it sucked that they didn't play Frank, but I did learn that Johnny Cash did some decent stuff (had only heard a few bits and pieces before)... wonder if/when they'll play the Frank session?

The producer has kindly dropped me a line saying that it is likely to be aired on the 12th of October, although this has yet to be confirmed.

Although there is no final confirmation, the producer of the programme has emailed me to say that the programme on Sunday 12th of October should feature the Frank Black session, as well as a session by Pete Yorn.

Did anyone else listen? He played New House of the Pope and Horrible Day - the version of New House of the Pope was especially good.

Anyone record it? I 'thought' I had, but when I listened this morning all I had was white noise. Couldn't see a link on the website to listen again either...

From the Virgin Radio website:

"The Captain gets through so many great sessions, it's difficult for the webteam to know who to put up online.

So, here's where you help.

Heard a great session on Captain America? Let our web team know - if it's popular enough, we'll get it added to the site right away."

Here's the link:
http://www.virginradio.co.uk/djsshows/shows/captainamerica/request.html

If enough of us request it, they'll put it online, and I can hear it.
