The feedback of Canadian press people so far for Show Me Your Tears has been nothing short of amazing. I know there are a number of reviews confirmed to run in September and October already, including a 5 out of 5 review in Chart Magazine, a postive review in Inside Entertainment (available for free w/National Post and in Second Cups across Canada) and lots of regional reviews are confirmed from the Victoria Times Colonist in Victoria BC to the Coast newspaper in Halifax NS. I will make stuff available when I can.
Great to hear. I don't imagine we'll see anything in the Sask. press? We don't usually, though there are enough fans here to sell out two back-to-back shows in each of the two major centres.
I'll keep my eyes peeled for some reviews in the ex pat magazines here in Beijing as the Pixies are heard of here and they usually review new albums in some of the publications.
The music writer at the Saskatoon Star Phoenix didn't have time to interview Frank Black when he played Saskatoon last time but has said he would like to the next time he plays in the city. Judging by the great response I wouldn't be surprised if that happens next year.
And I really, REALLY hope you're right about FB's return to Saskatoon and western Canada. Week off work, here I come... :) It was a great response though, and I have to admit that even I was surprised that there were so many cool people over here. :)
