Ear-X-Tacy in Louisville called me a few days ago saying they had a t-shirt for me for free, it's a FB&theC's Nadine EP t-shirt...not sure how they knew to contact me...very cool nonetheless. They have the EP all over the place, I picked it up right when I saw it.
--- Okay, so until next time, who put the 'ween' in Halloween? I don't know, probably you, you freakin' weirdo. |

That cover is nice indeed... the shot of the 'record' light on the inside pretty much says it all. |

i had to drive to ATOMIC in milwaukee sun. to get it (from Chicago) and i must say it is a cool store - there used to be a store that cool in chitown called 'the quaker goes deaf' and they didn't make it after 6 years or so -chain stores like tower and restless make it tough and then factor in the whole CDR thing..the mp3 thing and wham! i now see why there is a thing like what they did with this single: it drives the business to the independant. one has to wonder if Mr. Black is such a poster child for such actions if that has something to do with his not being played on anything but independant college radio. and here i am wondering if FB&theC will get some new stuff out on vinyl. speaking of which -that other single 'everything is new' is out on 'COOKING VINYL' so does anyone know if there is a vinyl version of the EIN single?? 45's, 10"-anything i'll check yet i think i've gone thru this already and there name is just that -there is no vinyl cooked. ..er, maybe it's overcooked and they have no choice but to sell it as a CD...

Anybody know if any stores in Minneapolis are carrying the EP? I'll be there in a few weeks. I know there aren't any here in Winnipeg (or Canada at all for that matter...) |

Just got Nadine last night , thanks to our friend Blarg007! In all, I always look forward more to an EP when the b-sides are unique songs. Taking that into account, it still rocked pretty hard. I grooved much harder on Everything Is New
I like that lemur, I lick it. That's velvety! |

I picked it up last night as well. Havent heard anything from SMYT. I'm waiting for release. I would have downloaded, but, have bandwith issues for the last couple of months.
I have to admit I was a bit underwhelmed by Nadine, it chugs along nicely and their is nothing wrong with it, but, seems an odd choice for a single. Love Gouge and Jane. Hermaphroditos is pretty good, but, until scott starts pounding on the drums at the end they are hard to hear. Dont get me wrong, I would buy it again tomorrow and recommend it to all the faithful. |

Nadine is my least favorite song on SMYT. Don't worry, Dallas, you will not be disapointed! |

Thats what I am counting on ramona. I dont think Nadine is crap, but, with all of the glowing talk of SMYT, I had too much anticipation probably. Cant wait to get the whole thing... |

Nadine is the only song I've heard and just by hearing it makes me drool...I love that song. It's been my favorite new one since I saw them in November.

A Nadine EP t-shirt? Fucking awesome, dude. Sarah, any chance that Spin Art'll sell any of these on the website? Also, it was really nice to see Vintage Vinyl (a St. Louis store) on the list; kinda going to miss this town when I move next year.

I managed to record Nadine last night from the Spinart website, and think it is a great tune. Does anyone think that parts of the song sound a little like 'Been down so long' by the Doors?? I cannot wait for the new album!!
Also I still cannot believe how great Gouge Away is. Frank has taken the best song ever written and improved it. The keyboards throughout compliment the dark side of the song perfectly. Superb!

You should download the Lowlands gig... Eric on the keys is VERY tasty. Gouge Away was awesome as always, but Rich did a better job of it the night before. Too bad they didn't throw Bullet on there too, as that was ultra-super tasty and of the five times I've heard it live, by FAR the best. Oh, and Freedom Rock immediately following Gouge Away was re-freaking-diculously awesome. |

Well, awhile. Ummm... rough guess @ 57.6 would be about 4 hrs 10 or so. Of course, just grabbing Gouge Away would be much less. |

4 hours is worth the wait and the minimal fee for an additional FB gig. Cheers for the info, now I have to get into gear and work out how to use the FTP thing.

After I said this last night, I went back and listened, but the recording quality of Lowlands doesn't compare in any way to the Regina show. Still, if you could take the intro that Eric does (as well as some of the verses) and mix it with the outro Rich & the whole crew do in Regina, you have the perfect Gouge Away. Worth the d/l for sure. |

Yeah, Vintage Vinyl rules! They've also got a location that's a little closer to me in Granite City. James, have you been to the cool little record store in Alton (the name escapes me)? When I went there to buy Grandaddy's new one, the album started playing the instant I picked it up out of the bin. I've never been in a record store that had that feature. I like that type of personalization. Made me feel warm and fuzzy. |

I live in Regina and can't find it anywhere. It was recorded here for chrissakes! I checked out the SpinArt website and it didn't look as though any stores in Canada would be carrying it. Whats up with that? |

Yeah, I hear 'ya. I was there and it's nowhere to be found and I'd really like a copy of it on the official single.
That said, I DO have the whole concert, drop me an email and I can probably help you out.
