Before the release of the record, Frank said in a statement that Show Me Your Tears featured thirteen sad songs, "big, salty tears". Granted, the album has a lot of "sad" songs, but there are others, like "Nadine", "Jaina Blues", and "The Snake", that don't really fit that portrait. I'm not complaining, by any means, but I think it's interesting that Frank considers them "sad" songs. "Coastline"-that is a sad song. Wow. |

Funny: "Coastline" is on just as I read your post ("Show Me Your Tears" hasn't left my Discman/computer/hifi, depending on where I am, since I got back from the store). I think it's a sad record but at the same time I find it sort of uplifting. I see it as the kind of record that can help you get through hard times. Although I hope I won't have an opportunity to test that theory.

but, in the snake he's 'not the one you needed'! and i guess in nadine he's watching her from afar or something, not actually talking to her...or something. and in JB...i'm sure there is some explanation... |
