Not me! Arnold's pretty good.
I was driving the back road to St. Louis last summer and passed through the towns of Bald Knob, Arkansas and Knob Lick, Missouri. Now those are some sad home towns. |

Heh-heh. Just type "Knob Lick, MO" into any search engine. . .(You have to remember, I'm the one who tracked down the town of Dildo, N.F.)
Arkansas has lots of good town names. I wish I'd been born in Hot Coffee instead of Little Rock. |

COF, you're from a town called Bartholomew? Hmmm...I'd be even more suspicious if you said you were from a town called Whatever Happened to Pong. |

No, I'm born and raised in Saskatoon. The Bartholomew was a reference to mere wishing she'd ended up in the (hot) coffee.... |

My home town is fairly boring - Middlebury. But I did go to Witchcraft Heights Elementary School in Salem, MA. I always thought that was kind of whack. |

Up in Northern Wisconsin, and the south part of Michigan's Upper Penninsula nestle the towns of (and they're not far from each other):
Spread Eagle Beaver Felch (and naive as I am, I didn't know until we drove through it to meet some friends what "Felching" is)

blackpurse, that's fucked up! I can't top any of these town names, but I can tell you that Exit 69 on I-75 in Michigan is Big Beaver Road. And man does it stink... (kidding).

I grew up in Wiarton, Ontario. Spent a few years before that in Wiskey Harbour, near Pike Bay. Just south of Lion's Head, and north of Ferndale and Owen Sound. |

I live fairly close to Peculiar, Missouri and Tightwad, Missouri.
I have relatives that live in Flippin, Arkansas.

On my way to Claremorris, Co. Mayo, I drive by Log Boy. Make of it what you will?

I used to live in "Timonium" which is in Maryland. Does that sound weird to anyone? I lived there so long I can't tell if it sounds stupid or not. It sounds like something on the periodical table of elements, like one of those loser elements that no one has ever heard of.

Yeah, sounds like it should be next to molybdenum.
I'm sure I've said it before, but the town I live in is located between the towns of Toad Suck and Pickles Gap, Arkansas. Local parks/lakes are Beaverfork and Woolly Hollow. Is it just me, or does everything sound dirty? |

the town 7 miles from my town is named "Buena Vista" which in itself is not funny.
But it's in bumfuck Virginia so everyone calls it
"b-you-na vista"
it's normal to us, but tourists and people from out of town always are confused.
We're all a bunch of hicks down here.

I just remember living in DC, and my friends from Baltimore could tell if you were from B'more or not by the way you pronounced "Timonium Road".

Try Southern Illlinois, where they insist that the pronounciation of the town at the bottom tip of the state is "KAY-ro", not Cairo as the Egyptians whose capital city is mimiced pronounce.
And there's a suburb of Milwaukee, New Berlin, pronounced New BURR-lin, not New Bear-LINN. Seems during the 40s, anti-German sentiment was so great, they didn't at all want to be associated with anything that sounded the least bit teutonic. Go figure.

I'm from Fargo, ND which isn't necessarily weird IMO, but people always bring up the movie. People can be some great conversationalists at times...

I've never actually seen them play; I don't think they played there when I left about 11-12 yrs ago. They probably play at the appropriatly named Fargo Dome which if my memory serves me, was built after I left.
Do the beez play yr local home town team?

They did, until the ownership group (from Ohio) couldn't sell the team to a local group, and that was that. It's really sad because I love basketball, and that was some high quality ball. |
