That would be fabulous, maybe you should talk to him about that. Dean what is BSS? You just want to come here for the pegging, don't lie! |

BSS is Broken Social Scene, but yes, between you and me (and the handful of people that view this thread), you can definitely expect some pegging. No pregging, though. That 'r' is significant. But it seems inevitable that we will be making an E-town Excursion this fall, though that highway is a little frightful to me these days... there's some sort of Greek thing coming up that I might be at. |

pregging? I think I've been preggers enough, just joking does it mean something else? I never really listened to BSS, please don't kill me. Why are you scared of the highway? You're not going to some big fat greek wedding are ya? hahahahaha, you probably hate when people refer to that movie, I would. |

Okay I know, maybe I do come off a little whory on the internet, allright I'll go back to my normal prudish self. But in my defence the pegging was a joke, I mean really go look it up, I don't really engage in that type of activity.

If this is a room, floop, then it just became a threesome. And not in the good 'two girls and one guy way' either. Get out!!!! Don't turn on the light, don't turn on the light!
Pregging means what you think it means, which is why we can't do that. :)
You should listen to BSS, or I may resort to punching. Though pegging is more my thing.
The highway's being twinned and a friend of mine was coming back on my birthday and got in a serious accident and is not exactly doing so well these days. Her friend, who was driving the car, was killed, and another friend may be paralyzed. You hear about it all the time, but when it's people you know, it's just all of a sudden really scary, even though I've driven that stretch many times. Maybe I'll fly myself in.
I don't mind the big fat greek jokes, mostly because I'm happy that people liked that movie so much. But most of those jokes are taken from the jokes we've already made amongst ourselves, so it's really not a big deal that more are making them now. No wedding, though, some sort of festival, don't know many details yet.
Don't go back to prud-olyn. She's no fun. She's the girl that refuses to just POST what pegging means so the rest of the world will know. And we ALL know that you do that sort of stuff.
I hate really brief one-sentence-at-a-time replies.
They suck. (But are sometimes necessary at work). |

Wow, I'm sorry about your friends, that is scary. Twin highways are better though, highways in SK suck:)
You know what's funny is that when I'm with my girlfriends we talk about shit that is so dirty and graphic its crazy, we're worse than guys I think.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that you are, deny it and call yourself prude all you want. Anybody that refers to themselves as prude is generally way more perverted than those of us who discuss such things. Making you an ultra-pervert. :)
Here's my question: why do girls insist on specifying the gender of their friend(s) who are female. You'll never hear a guy say "I was out with my boyfriends tonight" unless he is gay (and doing quite well for himself). Discuss. |

Well, if you'd prefer I didn't make a thread then I certainly won't. But maybe it'd cheer you up. How come it's crappy? Did you do anything this weekend for it?

When did you say your bday was? Well firstly I'm 29 and I can no longer deny the fact that next year I will be 30, yikes! And then for the weekend we decided to have one last helluva party at our lakelot (actually its mike's dads which means we have sell our very souls to use it). Anyways I invited lots of friends, I mean its a lakefront cabin complete with ski boat, a keg, it was 29 degrees etc. Well every single one of my friends jammed out. So it was my famille and my bro. I was a little sad til I pretty much drank that whole keg of beer over the course of the weekend, which is quite a feat considering that I might weigh a buck ten, bbqed like a mofo, and set off the best fireworks that you ever did see (just like a true Canadian). And the whole weekend only cost me 2 stitches. |

Yeah, that would suck. You're looking forward to a big party and it never, EVER goes that way. My birthday's actually on the 1st, so it's always a long weekend and people are always busy doing other things. A few people made it out, but it's never how you hope it'll turn out. And it's like you're expected to make it a big deal and sometimes you really just don't care.
But hell, if you polished off the keg, my hat is off to you. What kind of beer is the question. And I'm not sure what a 'stitch' is, but it sounds cheap. ;)
I never do winky faces.
As for being 30, you're only as old as you feel. Of course, a lot of times I feel old and I'm only 23, but that generally is a result of me being single and looking for girls my age in a city where the numbers tend to drop off once you pass 22. You're married avec children, can get away to the lake and polish off a keg with the fam in a lakefront cabin that sounds absolutely splendid, you can slack off your workday at FB.Net and still get paid decent dollars for it, and bbq like a mofo. What have you got to worry about?
I'll tell you what: Getting drawn into a long chat thread with an overly talkative Saskatonian. |

Actually I lied, I didn't need any stitches, or so my brother said. I sliced my heel up on a dirty broken lawn chair and he said I'll be fine and he just duct taped the slice up. Then they had a helluva good time watchin me scream as they put peroxide on it the next day when it was good n' infected. I also burnt my finger pretty good but that's what you get for settin off fireworks drunk:) Ya I guess all was not lost, I kicked ass in crib and won the bocci game, fuck I love bocci. I drank Canadian of course. |

Ahh, real stitches. I thought that was some sort of word like 'two bits' or whatever. Nothing like duct tape for bandaging up lawn chair wounds. :)
I've never played bocci, nor do I know anything about it. Feel free to 'splain.
Nothing wrong with the Canadian. As long as it's not Canadian Ice. That stuff is what the Spaniards call el terrible. |

Yeah, I've never claimed to be any good at moving Greek words to English. I should have known to use gala instead of 'gallo' though, and in my defense, I was poorly attempting to pluralize gemista. Not that there's ever an exactly right way to anglicize Greek, but...
For me, the perfect souvlaki is cooked on a wood-coal grill with just the right mix of lemon juice, olive oil, oregano, and salt. Simple. Delicious. |

I love bocci! I've only played it a couple of times, but, depending upon your degree of inebriation, it can be even more dangerous than lawn darts. |

And isn't that the greatest gift of all? 1000 on your birthday?
Ahh,yes, SlingBlade. I went to pick it up at the video store and they didn't have it, but when I return these I'll try a different store. I rented Sleepers which I thought was quite well done.
As for bocci, is that with the little balls and you toss it onto the grass further along? When I spent some time in the south of France there were a LOT of people playing it in little parks and others watching, and I thought that was sort of cool. But I didn't know what it was. But none of them seemed to be on any form of herb. |

headaches that sucks, the odd night when the kids are driving me batty I like to put them to bed (in the winter I can put Annabelle to bed at 6 or 7 sometimes because its dark by like 4 in the afternoon and she'll buy it)and have a little mommy relaxation time in the basement. No worries.
And happy belated birthday Dean, what a very special good cheerer upper of a post you wrote. I'm trying to think of something better than a lock of hair. |

Dean! When was your birthday? You didn't even give me a chance to pictionate a b-day sentiment for you!
Ah, mommy relaxation time. My idea of a vacation involves a prescription sedative and a dark room. I have a nonsleeper, but she has very suddenly become obsessed with going to bed early (which for her is about 9.) It's progress, though. |

I'm cleaning off my desk, and I just came across the order to mow our lawn that we received last month from the city. I thought the wording might amuse. Apparently one is forbidden to allow:
"Grass, weeds, or any other plant that is not cultivated, to grow to a greater height than ten (10) inches on an average of an individual lot, tract, parcel or to grow in rank profusion upon the premises."
"Rank profusion!" I love it. |

Carolyn, glad that my post may have been responsible for cheering you up at least a little. I figure the lock of hair is the best thing I can give since it's only a matter of time before I start losing it now that I'm 23. And from the sounds of your/mere's 'mommy relaxation time', I think I may not want to have kids just to preserve a little of it. :)
Sarah/mere (it feels weird not calling you mere, I don't know why - it's like a term of respect), my b'day was Sept. 1 and had I known that I could've been pictionated, I'd've definitely done some self-promotion and started my own happy birthday to me thread. :)
By the way, I love when they put the number (#) in parentheses after it's typed. Who the hell is reading about rank profusion, premises, tracts, and cultivation that doesn't know what the number ten is unless written numerically.

<flexing> Say, do you know which way the gym is? :)
See, I figure if I can sexually arouse at least one person, despite the numbers I may annoy, then it's worth it, I'm doing my job. It's thankless, but I like to think I'm making a difference.... <additional generic/over-the-top-modest comment>... and that has made all the difference.
The above translates to: I don't know what to say. Send pictures. :) |
