Well, I suppose I could start another thread for this, and perhaps I will, but we've done the "favourite FB/Pixies lyric", how about your favourite lyrics, period? This is sort of inspired by Carolyns and This Is It's posts in the song of the day thread.
A favourite of mine is from Robert Pollard, from a song called "Girl Named Captain", from his first solo album, "Not In My Airforce".

It's from Meat Puppets II, i downloaded it too. The original version is good, but there's another version which is REALLY cool; it starts out with crazy distorted feedback and piano playing then goes into the opening riff...
I read this quote and thought it applied equally well to FB:

I'm not entirely sure about the Meat Puppets current status, Eyes Adrift is no more though I'm afraid. Novoselic said they sold 20,000 albums tops. Not enough to pay the bills I guess.

| Gigli is the much anticipated Ben Affleck/Jennifer Lopez movie that was a critical and box office failure of epic proportions. It has been hailed as the worst movie ever, and was quickly pulled from theatres. "Eyes Adrift" brings together two musical icons (of sorts), and was expected to be big (in some circles, mostly Krists's), but failed quite miserably. So there's not a real huge connection, but I just wanted to make fun of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez. |

well, it's almost 4 PM, which means time to leave work and head for home. I love my job; salary and benefits, food everywhere. I sit here and surf the internet. I don't like the measily 120 hours of paid vacation a year though. I need more.
