nothing new really, but I saw backcat getting all the final films in for the DVD - so its all looking very much on track for an early 2004 release... I swear it wont (it can't!) be put back any further...
anyway, hopefully VERY soon there'll be an official update with all the stuff on the comp - its looking REALLY cool though
also, weird this. Did they really only do 8 official videos? For some reason I keep looking at the list and thinking they did more - I'm going on 'Monkey Gone To Heaven' 'Here Comes Your Man' 'Dig For Fire/Allison' 'Velouria' 'Debaser' 'Head On' 'Alec Eiffel'... maybe its just me going mad here.. likely.. |

| Might be a stupid question, but will it come in other languages then english? it's not really a problem for me since my english is pretty good and I do have the Gouge documentary taped with Swedish subtitles, I'm just curious... |

well from what has been posted previously by jo, it seems it'll have the town and country 1988 gig, but not the brixton academy one from 1991, and all the official videos.....i'd assume other stuff as well, but i don't know.
bit disappointing about the brixton gig omission - might have to convert my VHS copy to VCD one day. |

I think something will happen with the Brixton gig in the future - just not this time, as budget doesn't permit...
course, that doesn't mean that whats gonna be released next year wont be amazing... I can guarantee theres one thing nobody on these boards will have seen - and I'm saying no more! |

i really hope there is live stuff from the bossanova or (pre-)tromple le monde tours. i think their shows got to be simply amazing at that point. was at the brixton gig and the cameraman said i'd never see it as it was for broadcast in japan only. so do me a favour and release that in its entirity SOON!

| I knew a girl who went out with Lovering and she said that those home videos do exist. I hope thats what it is. I also heard that there was an episode when Black was pissed about something and he smashed an acoustic guitar in Joey's hotel room. |

I don't know, the receding hair line works well in a quirky, intelligent way. For example, Elvis Costello, David Byrne, Roddy Bottom, Aaron Perrino, John Flansburgh, etc.

not as far as I'm aware.... I'm not gonna talk about the DVD for a while though, as its still a long way off... hopefully in the next few months there'll be a definitive announcement about whats on there... but no audio. its just pictures, you have to play your pixies cd's alongside them and play "sync the black" or something
that may also be a lie. well apart from the audio bit... |

I am not :) I just see no point announcing anything while we are still so far off (plus its not down to me really)
kind of keeps a little bit of something to get excited about
y'know... it'd be like opening your easter eggs and eating the fillings on the Saturday night, then putting them back together, when everyone knows you've got to open them on the Easter Sunday. I know this feeling well, as I did this in 1975, but made sure it was only on my sisters easter eggs. Never done it since, I can tell you. |
