Looks like Motorway to Roswell has taken the prize unanimously. No big suprises there, really.

I'm interested in knowing how many people actually want to continue this game. There are still albums left to Survivor-ize (Complete B-Sides, Pixies at the BBC, etc.), but this game has been going on for a long time, and participation seems to be dropping off. Should we go on, or just wait until Show Me Your Tears is released? If we do go on, which album should we do next?

Just do B-sides. It's not gonna hurt anything if no one plays so you might as well

Well, there's the top 3, in some order or another. For me anyway... I 'll agree as to give this a rest for a while too.

I have not played that much, but I exhort you to give the game a rest.

Yeah, you could always do a survivor of all the songs that won survivor, and come down to some ultimate Frank Black/Pixies song. But that would be a bit ridiculous perhaps.

That's a good idea. We could do a "You Ain't Me" Survivor as well.

<sharp intake of breath> I'm not so fond of that idea, personally... not that I mind losing, but I think that others might, and it could get pretty offensive, and we'd probably not want contributors voting, and so on. And it would have to wait a long enough time that a fair amount of people have d/led and heard the album enough to do a survivor on it. As a contributor, though, I'd be interested to see how far we make it in the overall scheme of things...

Well I wasn't suggesting we'd do one anytime soon. Mildly disappointing results are inevitable (as shown by past Survivors), but I don't think anyone should be offended. I mean, aspiring professional musicians have gotta be a little thick-skinned to deal with criticism and rejection in the real world, which this message board - in the case of Frank Black cover versions - is only a mild reflection of.
