If there's no lemons, disregard my question.
1 Avocado 1 Onion 1 Tomato pink of salt and pepper squeeze 1 lemon add a large helping of tabasco sauce parsley
Blend all of this together and then put in the fridge until nice and cold.... absolutely gorgeous, and very easy.
Bacon....... Its not fantastic |

Yeah, it is. It's an addiction like smoking. I should quit. What kind of meat do you recommend for starters? |

I wouldn't recommend adding tabasco in the guacamole. Green chiles taste much better.

here's a quick soup; very easy, very satisfying, very versatile
to make the base you mix 3-4 cups of water with 4 cups of plain soy milk. You can use regular milk but soy is better IMO.
heat on medium. while heating add 4 baking potatoes; cut them down to whatever size you like. (baking potatoes are cheap, large potatoes. So basically any large potatoes will do)
Then you just throw cut up vegetables in! I usually go with:
1 cup celery 1 cup carrots 1/2 cup broccoli 1/2 cup corn 1 green pepper
just add or take out any vegetables based on what you like and dislike you might also want to add spices to get the flavor a little more robust. if you use the soy milk, you get just about every vitamin you need for the day.
you can adjust the measurements; just use equal parts of milk and water than toss in vegetables and cook on medium-low heat until potatoes begin to break down and are soft.
I used to use onions and garlic but then I read in my Sivananda companion guide that they're not great for you. But then again, I believe everything I read, so don't let that stop you.
I also used to put in cutup bacon, but then I cut down on my meat eating quite a bit.
And don't believe that people with high metabolisms can just eat and eat with no ill effects. It's got to go somewhere. (I.E. they're punishing their colons.)

Jeah, red is good. But don't forget to remove the pips. They're deadly. And don't go peeing right after you chopped the peppers without washing your hands. You won't be able to have sex for a week. |

uhm, you mean paprika's, not chilli's. You don't want to mix up those two. tomato soup : 400 gr tomatos, 2 onions, 400gr red peppers,...

dear sirs and madams, i think we should not mind about franks weight, i have read in an interview that he enjoys eating, in fact they said that frank ate everything that did not move in the dish, I am also a little over weight and i still think that the importamt stuff is in the head, so why minding. I have seen frank' s tour schedule and he makes a pretty exercice i think, son that compensates a lot, velouria cannot come from a sick man

we (the belgian people) call both vegetables peppers, but to make the distinction we call them chilli's and paprika's (from whom are made the powder). glad we cleared that out. |

bad accident. couldn't believe this topic, but had to reply. i would say "who cares about frank's size" but honestly, i think it has played a key role in his music and stage persona. if he was some anorexic, pretty boy jumping around the stage, it just wouldn't be the same. and his voice surely wouldn't sound the same. he is everything that punk rawk (or whatever) stood for (long ago in a distant rock n roll world....) because he's a regular guy that writes his own damn good songs. and quite frankly, i think he's one handsome fella!

hahahaha...quite cool how this forum's turned into a pepper semantics/recipe thread, but you still get the odd "FRANK FAT? NO!" message...
So what's paprika made from if it's not chiles or bell peppers? Is it edible raw, or does it always have to be dried and ground up?

Paprika does come from red bell peppers. They're made into pimentos, and that's where paprika would come from. Same damn thing.
But, yes, very tasty also :)
Ok, though, I'm kinda noticing some resentment when it comes to the whole skinny people and their metabolisms. I'm skinny. I eat a lot. I have a high metabolism. And, NO, I do not abuse my colon.
I gain weight if I eat carbs because of some insulin problems, but as long as I only eat normal amounts I'm a very skinny person. It's just my genes (my twin eats insane amounts of everything, plus weight gainer and can't gain weight) and that's the way my body is. It does happen, and one additional possible reason was that I was an active child and did heavy amounts of exercise through junior and high school. Afterwards, my body has always stayed on the slim side, because that's the way it is. It happens.

exactly, jedi. if this is a matter that really concerns people, you know, by all means they should ask frank about it after a show. see how interested he's gonna be in what they have to say.
are there any fat people on this site? how are you all doing with that? watch your cholesterol, eh.
leah
ps: frank is dreamy.

axel, the thing is (i think), you should ask yourself if you'd say the same thing to his face. "hey frank, great gig and all, but you know, i'm worried about you being too fat. it's not good for your health." frankly?
i'm sure your concern is genuine, BUT --please note that i have a big "but", haha-- it IS actually a rude thing for a complete stranger to say. which we all are to him: complete strangers commenting on his weight and marital status and whatnot. (on the other hand, i think comments on the band, even doubtful or negative, are perfectly legitimate on a fan board.)

Theres this place in chicago called heaven on seven (new orleans type) and they have this entree called "hot as a mutha", that really consists of a crazy hot pepper filled with cheese or something. They make you sign a waiver stating that you wont make them take it back if its too hot for you. Kinda silly cause I thought it was gonna be wild hot, but it wasnt the bad really. Yeah, Im tough.
