| so how do the cover versions sound on the new single? Wasn't it released today? Man, I can't find it anywhere here in Germany. Amazon in Germany doesnt have it! |

Did you receive your copy yet? I too ordered it from them but the online message still says "not dispatched yet". Sent them two emails asking when it would ship but have received no response. Also sent two emails to Cooking Vinyl asking them why it doesn't seem to be listed in their online shop. Again no answer yet. Does anyone know whether something has gone awry with this release? Thanks. |

same here, i ordered a copy from HMV.co.uk AND from amazon (in case, somehow, it was unavailable as it is ltd edition.) I got my copy from HMV on monday, but still waiting for my copy from amazon (still on order as i'll give the copy to my friend who i am trying to convert to "catholicism"!)

Today Amazon UK notified me that they have cancelled my order for Everything Is New, I suspect due to lack of stock. However, Cooking Vinyl did reply saying they too received only a few copies and therefore did not post it in their online store. They were afraid that if they did they'd end up not being able to fill orders. But they did say that www.hmv.co.uk had stock but may sell out at anytime. So I ordered from www.hmv.co.uk and they shipped it today. I recommend that those of you waiting for Amazon UK or Cooking Vinyl place an order with hmv ASAP.

All of you ordering from amazon.co.uk, gice it up. Half of what you would try for will always be listed as "usually dispatched in 3 - 5 days" or something like that and you'll never get it. Especially for a limited edition cd.

I was at my local Newbury Comics earlier tonight, and I almost fell over when I walked by Frank Black's section and saw the "Everything is New" single (imported, natch) shining forth. This thing seems hard enough to get in the country that issued it, so I couldn't believe my luck in finding one here in the United States.
God, this single has got some great artwork. Best Frank Black artwork since the original album, I'd say...

| I got the 'Everything Is New' single on Saturday (HMV - Oxford Street)...it's fine, it didn't blow me away but I'm hoping for more from the forthcoming album. |

In my opinion Down in the Hole is the best song of the three. EIN is good, but no more, and Take What You Want is a bit disappointing.

I was really disappointed in the single. Thought Down in the Hole would have been better if Frank didn't sing falsetto. I love SMYT and the song Everything Is New, just thought the cover tunes were not up to par to what I expect to hear from Frank.
I got me so down I got me a headache. |
