Hey, just thought I'd introduce myself and all. I've been reading these forums for the past few months or so and finally decided to register. I don't post on forums at all really, but you guys all seem to have such great taste in music, I couldn't resist. I must admit, I only recently (June 2002) have been exposed to Mr. Black's music in the form of the Pixies. Completely blown away. I had always heard how they were the band that "inspired Nirvana" (which isn't a fair descripton for such an amazing band) and all, but figured they were just some run of the mill punk band that may have resembled Fugazi or something. Prior to the Pixies, I mostly listened to bands like Mudhoney, Meat Puppets, and lots of Beatles' tunes. Anyways, I'm completely sold on just about everything Frank Black has done and also feel fortunate to know of his music. As far as Frank Black and The Catholics go, I haven't heard the latest album, but right now I'm really hooked on Devil's Workshop. I wish I had given any frank black disc a run through the ole cd player years ago. Life's too short to be ignorant of music like this. Better late than never, I guess.
