It's simply Ramones...Though i saw a bootleg where they were listed as Los Ramones...

Ok, so I guess the person has to know who the Pixies are in the first place.

Woohoo...things like this are like an internal holy war for me, two (or three) bands I can think of I use "The" in conversation but don't when labeling them, those would be the Pixies, the Cream (YES, I say THE Cream), and I've occasionally said "the Miracle Legion" (which I have broken myself of) as opposed to say, The White Stripes, The Flaming Lips, The Beatles. I also tend to differentiate the use as opposed to title by using "The" or "the".
Such discussion spawns other weird things that irk me when they're not noted, like the difference between Frank Black and Frank Black & the Catholics and the difference between The Jimi Hendrix Experience and Jimi Hendrix...whew!
Hehe...hehe...I like Pixies.

Damn, you're right. I had the Pixies as "the Pixies" in my folder listings for a while, because "the" means "it's not part of their name, but you address them as this" where the "The" in "The White Stripes" means "the is part of the name". "the Cream"??? You're just crazy. Notice all of the "The's" you listed have plural names...we're more inclined to say "The" in that case. I just put all my FB tracks under "Frank Black" and Jimi Hendrix under "Jimi Hendrix." What about Elvis Costello? ;)
