Crazy F@#ked up version of John The Rev. Very, very weird! Recorded The Shrimp Boat Song and The Auld Triangle as well. Well worth it. Anyone hear the interview?

The Session'll be replayed sometime later in the year as part of a 'best of' show. I wouldn't be too upset about missing it though. Frank sounded great as usual, but Glen turned out to be too much of an irritation for me...was definately a real come-down from the session on BBC 6 (with a full and greatly entertaining interview) and the highs of the gig on Friday.

Uhm A great band with singer/songwriter Anna Waronker (yes indeed the daughter of record company president Lenny Waronker and the sister of beck drummer Joey Waronker). Bass player Rachel Haden (yes indeed, she played bass for Joey Santiago's Martinis and sang with both Weezer and Nada Surf). Petra Haden (yes indeed, the twin sister of rachel who played with Green Day, Weezer spin off The Rentals and Luscious Jackson) And drummer Tony Maxwell (yes indeed, a truly unkown person)
The three that dog girls can be found on Beck songs like Totally Confused, and they did a record together (can't remember the title it was before Mellow Gold I guess and a very obscure one). That Dog also played on that Mike Watt solo album which Frank Black also played on. That Dog broke up in 1997 after making three albums for Geffen; That Dog; Totally Chrused Out and Retreat from the Sun. Anna Waronker is now a solo artist. She wrote the Clueless TV Theme and the soundtrack for Josie and the Pussycats. Petra is a sessionmusician for lot's of bands. Rachel showed up singing for Jimmy Eat World and on the latest Nada Surf singing harmonies on No Quick Fix.
Is that enough for you Jessie?

Yes, they came up with it when Anna had seen a dead dog lying on the road. When she saw a friend she was still devestated by the whole thing. Her friend (Jenny BTW) asked what was wrong with her and Anna just replied: 'That Dog!' Her friend said: That's a good name for a band. Let's start a band! That friend wrote some lyrics for the debut album
