I'm not sure if anyone has posted this yet. July 8 FB was on the Gideon Coe BBC show. The site has streaming interview and solo versions of Manitoba and My Favorite Kiss:

Also, a kind soul recorded these straight from the radio and uploaded them to the newsgroups. It sounds far better than the Real stream. These are the groups if you're familiar with Usenet and want to get them: alt.binaries.sounds.mp3.2000s,alt.binaries.sounds.mp3.bootlegs,alt.binaries.sounds.mp3.nospam
Otherwise I can upload them to FTP if someone (i.e. Dave) sends me the FTP info. |

| thanks for the link! frank sounds great doing those acoustic versions. real treat. can anyone translate frank's spanish lines. he was referring to the thirteen big salty tears in spanish. the only thing i caught was divorcia then him laughing. the only spanish i know is playa and cervesa. |

FB in the interview was trying to answer the 13 salty tears comment and decided to answer it in Spanish.
He went on to say: "mucho mas, si,si,si"
This means: more, yes,yes,yes.....in reference of course to it (album) being a sadder affair.
...then GC asked him: "porque" which means: why
And he replied by saying: "porque estoy divorciado"
This means: Because I am divorced
There you have it.

can i ask how to hear these? clicking them or clicking 'save target as' both don't work. any tips?
bored of the little comments. i guess i'll just have an actual signature. much shorter.

You need the RealPlayer installed. I despise Real but the player is available at http://www.real.com/ if you need it. Make sure to get the FREE player, not the "free trial". For years they've been doing their best to try to fool people into downloading the pay version, so the link to the free player is always in a small font in the corner of the screen. Click the "free RealOne player" at the top right, then "Download the Free RealOne Player" on the bottom right.
Or you can wait for Dave to put the MP3s on the FB FTP server. |
