| My dad finally made me get my hair cut today. I knew it was coming sometime, but WHY NOW??!! Anyways, I need a way to grow my hair back FAST. I've heard that Horse Shampoo makes it grow fast. Is this true?? Any other suggestions?? |

My advice is to not allow it to grow back. I had long hair once, it was beautiful by Joey Ramone standards even. But then i decided that a 50's pompadore was the wave of the future, and well Nimrods son, i was right. As usual. So get one of them too. |

If you shave your entire body minus your head and cover everywhere else on your body which had hair at one point with tape or some other inpenetrable substance, your hair will have no other choice but to grow out of your head. This should triple the speed at which it grows, at least.

| I tried the gelatin thing once but it tastes like shit, maybe I'll try it again. My hair was like down to my shoulders, so it wasn't like Jerry Cantrell or anything, but now I have to start all over and it took at least 6 months to get where it was! |

| Dude, he's in, like, ninth grade. Cut him some slack. I don't know about you, but when I was fifteen, my parents still had a fair amount of control over my appearance. (Y'know, that "as long as you're under my roof, your hair will be brown instead of blue, blahblahblah . . .") |

Sometimes the parents just make you feel guilty about something and if you have enough respect for them, you listen to their advice/command.
Every time my hair gets long (not super long--approx. 5 inches on top, 3 inches around the sides), I am like "my hair is so awesome like this." Then I decide to get a haircut and cut it short, and then I'm all like "my hair is so much better short. What was I thinking leaving it long?" I think when my hair is long I forget that I like it much better short. It's more manageable when it's shorter.

I haven't had a haircut in close to five months. I chalk it up to me listening to far too much Meat Puppets and old Flaming Lips stuff. That, and I've started smoking pot again.

I had a friend in school who had to have his head SHAVED if he got less than a B in high school. He and his little brother would show up after we got our report cards bald every time. Everyone knew it so whenever you saw him it was this blaring reminder of his grades. He also had a super high pitched voice that didn't help matters. It didn't help his grades either.

This is the third summer I've been letting my hair grow, and it's probably about a quarter way down my back now. It is definately a pain in the ass, but I'm just too damn lazy to get it cut. Besides, it took me forever to grow it out so it looked good, and I don't want to get it cut and decide that it looked better long. But my parents were cool about it, though. My dads an old hippie anyways and my mother encourages just about anything I do (except the bad stuff). It must suck to be a Nimrods Son, eh?

I had very long hair until the end of last summer. I hadn't gotten it cut in like 8 years, more than trim. I cut it off for my job and then I got fired. That sucked. It's just hair though. I mean I fought my parents about long hair forever when I was a kid, and everything else. It's really not that big of a deal. You should shave it to spite him. It does make a huge difference, at least where I live, whether or not you have long hair. People judge you in a second if you are at all different. It gives me a slight pleasure when I look at these people and they think I am normal. Oh, little do they know...

i was driven into town one day by the principal of my old secondary school to get my pony tail cut off. our school promoted short hair - but one guy got suspended for getting a blade 1 all over. double standards eh 
i laugh about it now.. but back then it was a pain.

Some of that texturizing stuff might work - but then your hair would look pretty funny, maybe kinda like Neil from the Young Ones after he took a bath in 2-year-old dirty water.
I noticed noone else here mentioned the discovery decades ago that Barbie has a wealth of hair reserves, and can grow her hair (to scale) an extra couple inches, if you just pull hard enough.
Of course we ALL know Barbie and Ken are anatomically correct.
