I'm going to miss Frank Black when he plays in Dublin, as I'll be in Edinburgh. Somebody said something about him playing a gig in Edinburgh, but I can't find it anywhere on the tour dates. Anybody know anything?
I saw him in the Olympia in ... must have been 96. One of the best gigs I've seen, and I'm damned if I'm going to miss him this time.
He said that the first gig of the autumn tour with the full band would be in Edinburgh - therefore it would be some time in September. He doesn't seem to be playing Edinburgh as part of his solo gigs. Sorry!

hey there i too was at that olympia gig - and yes - it did rock! absolutely fantastic. im sure he will be back in ireland in the autumn with his full band.

Anyone hear Andy get give proxy props to FB on the Steve LaMarque BBC6 program. Edinburgh will be the first show of the tour. The band will be in the city rehearsing for a couple of weeks prior to the show. Enjoy!
I moved from Toronto just before he did a 5 night stay at the Horseshoe.
I didn't have high hopes of seeing a lot of concerts in Edinburgh but I have been pleasantly surprised. A Frank Black show is just what I was hoping to see.
Now, the trick will be to figure out where in the city he'll appear (in those two weeks of rehearsals) to play a few songs to get his feet wet before the tour starts.
