| yeah... i actually collect 70s blaxploitation soundtracks (have over 30) including coffy, shaft in africa, la planete sauvage, black belt jones etc... but superfly is my fave by a long shot. little child runnin' wild is one of the most amazing songs i know. nice one floop. |

i wuz thinkin' more along the lines of the sound of music sondtrack or the clockwork orange soundtrack but thanks for all the input...and i am not talkin' bout makin' love or sex or shit, you know, yer sittin' in yer lazeboy, yer all alone, yer naked...personally i'd listen to cult of ray or velvet underground, or teenage mutant ninja turtles soundtrack the first one that gets me all hot and bothered...

my ex-girlfriend got me into it (that's right, i'm single now!).. good stuff. i'd be into gettting more of his stuff, and similar such stuff..
i got the James Brown box set for Christmas.. not that that's quite the same thing, but on the same plane.

That is correct. Back when that album came out, the "Big Brother" band name included Janis...it wasn't until a couple of albums later that their collaboration ended and Janis was just "Janis Joplin". As far as I'm concerned, the other guys in Big Brother really defined the sound of those first albums--more bluesy and psychedelic. |

actually, early stuff by frenchies AIR is pretty sexy.
on a seperate silly note:has anyone who has heard '10,000 Hz legend'
noticed how it really has an eerie post sep.11 feel to it-
not that there is anything to put a finger on -just atmosphere,
as though it were the soundtrack to a sad human evolution.
-if you haven't heard it and don't dislike beck then it is a must hear.
