Hey webteam
is it just me, or is the forum being weird w/ telling which posts have been active since they last viewed the forum? for instance, the "trading" forum has appeared pink, ie. new post, for at least 2 days now, with no new posts. is this just my computer, or is something afloat here?

Do you have cookies on? Active topics is working fine for me. Also, there's a little setting that sets the duration of the 'active period' near the top left of the page when you click on Active Topics, so check that out. It's working fine, though.
The other thing it could be in this case is if someone edited a previous post, the thread is active even though there technically isn't a new post. |

Nice 1000th post, Dave. I've been having that problem lately too...like, a topic I would check once in the afternoon would be new, then again at night it shows up...then the next day, even if nothing has happened since the first time. It's weird. |

occaisionally ill come to the site and everything is pink regardless of how old it is. i think it happens when i come back to the site twice in the same browser window. like without closing it at some point in between.

Okay - here's one thing - make sure you're signed in.
If you're not signed in, you get a different cookie, and everything will be new...
That's off the top of my head, and that's the only time i've seen 'repeat' active topics.
I'm not sure why, but they expire every 30 days or so..i had to sign in today. |
