That's right! Cooking Vinyl has announced the first date of his fall European tour. Here's the news:

That's right. Frank Black has decided to do a number of gigs across Europe. The only confirmed date so far is London on 15th October, but we will put up more dates as soon as they come in. Watch this space!>>

No no no no no no no no not the Elysee Montmartre!!!! I decided to boycott this place a long time ago, and I would hate being forced to go there. There are like a hundred better places to do concerts in Paris.

Re: Stuart: - Le Zénith is a large venue, I think it holds about 4000 people and the sound is shitty (well, it's good for a venue that size, but it's nothing compared to smaller places). The Catholics will soon play in an arena when they'll open for Placebo, the place is a 18000 people venue.
- The Elysée Montmartre does have an awful sound system. I've never been to a concert there where the sound was good. Plus the tickets are generally very expensive there (they are expensive in every venue in Paris, but in the EM it's becoming ridiculous), the place is just a horrible big square box, and the bouncers are dumber than the average. My suggestion for a Parisian gig: le Trabendo, le Bataclan, le Nouveau Casino, and then a solo secret gig at the Guinguette Pirate.
